Burnley animal rescue enjoys purr-fect day at its first ever fundraising event

A Burnley animal rescue enjoyed a purr-fect day at its first ever fundraising event.

Furreal Cat Rescue raised a fantastic £1,953.80 at its fun day last Saturday. Feline lovers rallied together to raise funds to help cover the rescue’s mounting vet costs. Activities included games, a bouncy castle, and a chance to meet some of Furreal’s rescued cats.

Carla Butterworth, Furreal founder, said: “We honestly can’t thank everyone enough for coming along, supporting us and helping make our very first fundraising event such a success. It means the world to us and that amount of money will help massively.”

Carla says her voluntary work tackling overbreeding and rescuing abandoned pets has been “24/7” since she started Furreal two years ago, and she has seen her team grow from three to 13.
