Churches facing closure
Three Burnley Roman Catholic Churches have been earmarked for closure in a radical shake-up.
The news comes as part of a review by the Bishop of Salford in the wake of decreasing congregation numbers and a drop in ordained priests.
The churches, St Teresa in Burnley, St Augustine in Lowerhouse and St Philip in Padiham have been included on a list of seven churches facing closure.
A three-month consultation process will now take place before a final decision is made.
