Silentnight’s Have-a-go Hippo and Plucky Duck will make the journey down from Barnoldswick to take to the streets of London for the capital’s annual marathon on Sunday.

Silentnight has teamed up with national charity Dreams Come True for the gruelling 26.2 mile run with the charity’s fund-raising manager Neal Martin hoping to blast around the course in a roaring time as Hippo with Josh Press donning the Duck costume hoping to set a quacking pace.

The charity helps children and young people with long term or terminal illness to realise their dreams and the marathon men, armed with striking costumes and collection buckets, are hoping to raise as much money as possible on route to the finishing line in The Mall.

Nick Booth, Marketing Director of Silentnight, said: “We’re delighted that Silentnight has been able to support such a worthy cause as Dreams Come True.

“We can’t wait to see our iconic Hippo and Duck characters cross the finishing line on Sunday and we wish Martin, Josh and the team at Dreams Come True the very best of luck.”
