Aiyla is a Burnley New Year baby

Tiny Aiyla Hodgson made her appearance on New Year’s Day to the delight of parents Chelsea Hodgson and Haroon Saeed.

Aiyla was one of several babies from across East Lancashire born at Burnley General Hospital’s Lancashire Women and Newborn unit.

Chelsea (21) said: “Aiyla had been due on New Year’s Eve but she eventually arrived at just after 6am on New Year’s Day.

“She is perfect and we are all delighted. It was quite a long and difficult labour, but she is definitely worth it. Dad and family love her to bits.”

Aiyla, who weighed 7lb 12oz. will soon be heading home to Sharp Street to meet her two siblings Leon (4) and Mohammed (3).

Chelsea added: “Aiyla is sleeping and feeding very well. I can’t wait to get her home now. She is the perfect way to start a new year.”
