Burnley's Royal Butterfly pub and Station Hotel in Nelson to host festival themed Bank Holiday weekend celebrations
A Burnley pub is among 200 across the UK hosting a ‘festival’ themed Bank Holiday weekend in a bid to bring communities together.
The Royal Butterfly will host the event , which will include music and themed decor, from this Friday (August 22nd to Monday August 25th). The Station Hotel in Nelson is also among the North West venues taking part in the celebrations which are being held in partnership with Smirnoff.
The weekend is being hosted by Proper Pubs, which is the award winning community wet-led operator division of Admiral Taverns.
This latest celebration follows the success of Proper Pubs' May Bank Holiday parties where customers were treated to a 'Country & Western Rodeo' for the first long weekend, followed by a nostalgic '80s, 90s & 00s' themed event for the second one.
Nikki Greenhalgh, who is perations director of Proper Pubs, said: “It’s occasions like these that really showcase the vital role our pubs play at the heart of their communities and we’re proud to host events that bring people together and capture the true spirit of Proper Pubs.
" We’re looking forward to seeing everyone celebrate the Bank Holiday with one another and I’d like to extend a huge thank you to our fantastic operators for making these parties possible.”
