The main theme of the festival this year is food, so we have invited lots of local producers and growers to come and show us their wares, and the children from Barrowford School, St Thomas’ School and Blacko School are all busy making masterpieces entitled Edible Art to exhibit.
“But it isn’t just about food. We have drink, too – Lancaster Brewery will be there!”
And she said: “There is a Children’s Area where Burnley Football Club will be testing your target and agility skills, as well as the good old egg and spoon and three legged races and Chuck a Boot – instead of welly throwing.
“The Library Service will have a story telling corner, there’s a Treasure Hunt and a Duck Race organised by our main sponsor Farnsworth Rose Solicitors.”

Tea and cakes will be served at the lakeside area and people will be serenaded in the morning by the children’s choir. The Music Event starts at 2pm with Wayne Farrow and friends providing the musical entertainment into the evening.
Profits from this year’s festival will go to the Seniors Luncheon Club and Barrowford Park.
And Marina added: “All this would not be possible without the enormous generosity of many of our local companies.”
