Castlewood by Wrightcare care home opens in Clitheroe
A new residential care home has opened in Clitheroe.
Castlewood by Wrightcare, located on Higher Standen Drive, held an official ribbon-cutting ceremony during a community open day, attended by residents, families and community leaders including Deputy Mayor of Clitheroe Town Council, Coun. Mary Robinson.
Shared spaces include a library, wellness centre, activity rooms, landscaped gardens, and a café and bar that remain open all hours to encourage interaction. The home also provides care services, from residential care to dementia support.
Managing director of Wrightcare, Gill Chadwick said “Castlewood represents everything Wrightcare stands for – creating safe, welcoming spaces where our residents can live life their way. Our dedicated team, modern facilities, and activities programme are designed to support physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. We are proud to bring this level of care to the Clitheroe community.”

The open day featured tours where visitors learned about the activities offered including music sessions, crafts, excursions and opportunities for intergenerational engagement with local schools and nurseries.
