Haffner’s Pies opening new stall on Burnley Market

A brand-new Haffner’s Pie shop will open on Burnley Market tomorrow – and it’s set to revive one of the Market Hall’s most-loved traditions.

The new stall will bring back the hot black pudding once made famous by Donald Smith, who became known as Burnley Market’s “Black Pudding Man” before retiring in 2019 after 32 years behind the counter.

The launch comes as the Haffners name continues to grow, with the company’s flagship deli-style store, Haffners Eats, already proving popular at Network 65.

Haffner’s Pies will focus on its traditional hot pies, peas and gravy; and, of course, those legendary black puddings.
