Former owner of Burnley nightspots Panama Joe's and Posh Mick Cookson launches new company projected to be success nationwide
A Burnley businessman and former nightclub owner has launched a new company with a unique concept that is projected to be a success nationwide.
Supply Partners Direct Ltd has been three years in the making and is now ready to launch officially and go live.
The brainchild of Mick Cookson, who ran pubs and clubs in Burnley for over two decades, and his business partner, Stephen McPherson, a trusted and respected figure in financial services, the duo have joined forces to create a buying group unique to estate agents and their customers. With the help of Supply Partners Direct, customers of estate agents will now have access to discounted home improvement products through national and regional retailers. From carpets and light fittings to new kitchens and bathrooms, the scheme covers their every need.

Estate agent customers can purchase discounted goods from participating retailers only through the agent’s unique link, giving agents an additional income stream whilst enhancing the service they provide to their clients. Supply Partners have also designed a bespoke benefits package exclusively for agents to enjoy themselves, giving them access to discounts on the products and services they already use and depend on.
Mick’s son, Vance Cookson, who is the company’s sales and partnership lead, said: “We saw a gap in the value estate agents receive from services they currently offer at no cost, and we felt it was important to develop a solution that addresses that. It’s patented and protected and as we are developing the company it keeps evolving with new ideas and directions.”
The team have put the hard work in, spending hours on the phone building their network of suppliers and estate agents.
Mick, who ran iconic Burnley nightspots Panama Joe’s and Posh, also owned MCI, a company that designed and built clubs, bars, and casinos around the world, including the legendary Funky Buddha in London’s exclusive Mayfair and several venues for NCL Cruise Lines. He said: “We have spent three years planning and developing this business idea, and I’m genuinely excited to finally bring it to market and see it put to use.
“For anyone thinking about joining our growing network and ready to be part of a real shift in the estate agency game, we want to hear from you."
