Year 11 pupils experience powerful road safety message through Just One Life Event
Year 11 pupils were given a powerful and thought-provoking insight into the consequences of dangerous driving as they took part in the Just One Life road safety presentation at school.

The event was delivered by Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service, Lancashire Constabulary and the Ambulance Service, with support from Clitheroe Rotary and featured a realistic mock road traffic collision and rescue demonstration.
The immersive experience enabled pupils to witness first-hand the emergency response to a serious road traffic incident, highlighting the devastating impact that dangerous driving can have on individuals, families and communities. Through realistic scenarios and professional expertise, pupils gained a deeper understanding of the life-changing consequences that can result from poor decisions behind the wheel.

The Just One Life programme aims to educate young people about road safety and encourage them to make responsible choices as they approach driving age. By bringing real-life experiences into a safe learning environment, the presentation delivered a memorable and important message that one decision can change lives forever.
Mrs Mashiter (Assistant Headteacher) said, "We are incredibly grateful to Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service, Lancashire Constabulary, the North West Ambulance Service and Clitheroe Rotary for delivering such a powerful and impactful presentation. The mock collision and rescue demonstration made a lasting impression on our Year 11 pupils and reinforced the importance of making safe and responsible choices on the road. It was an invaluable educational experience that will stay with our young people for years to come."
The school would like to extend its sincere thanks to all the emergency service personnel and volunteers who gave their time to support the event and help educate the next generation about the importance of road safety.
