The concert is being dedicated to the memory of much-loved choir member Sue Hartley, who was a valued part of the choir for more than 35 years. Throughout her illness, Sue remained devoted to the choir and continued attending rehearsals whenever she was able.

As part of the programme, the choir will perform one of Sue’s favourite songs, together with a new piece of music purchased using money kindly left to the choir in her memory.

The evening will also feature performances from The Pendle Community Orchestra and a solo appearance by John Garrett, former musical director of the choir.

A spokesperson for the choir said:
“Sue was a cherished member of Pendle Ladies Choir for many years and is greatly missed by everyone. We are proud to support Pendleside Hospice in her memory and hope the concert will be a fitting tribute to her love of music and friendship within the choir.”

Funds raised from the concert will go towards supporting the valuable work carried out by Pendleside Hospice for local patients and families.

The concert will take place at St. Thomas's Church Barrowford. Saturday 6th June at 7.30pm. Tickets are £12 and will be available on the door
