More volunteers are needed to help out on a range of tasks at the ever-popular miniature railway at Burnley s Thompson Park.

Whether selling tickets, replacing sleepers, doing joinery, painting, maintaining plant, machining parts, being a guard, cleaning stock and locomotives, gardening, helping visitors or keeping the railway tidy – all the tasks needed to maintain and operate the popular miniature railway are carried out by volunteers.

"Whatever your background we should be able to find a satisfying and rewarding volunteering opportunity for you – perhaps you too could one day be an engine driver."
