Party time! Burnley nursery kids celebrate graduation in style

Pre-schoolers at Burnley Private Day Nursery put on their glad rags and danced the day away with staff and parents in celebration of their graduation with the tots having their faces painted before posing for prom photos.

“Many of our children have been with us since they were tiny babies, so we’re all feeling very emotional now it’s time to say goodbye," said Nursery Manager, Nikki Cox. “We’re upset to see our children leave but we’re also very happy in the knowledge that they’re well equipped for primary school.

“Our children have been learning everything from numeracy and literacy to art and baking, so we know they’re going to do brilliantly," she added, with staff and parents alike celebrating the children's development. “We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came along to our prom and made it such a special occasion.

“We’ve made some wonderful memories together, and hope to stay in touch with all of them.”

Burnley Private Day Nursery - which is part of the Just Childcare family of day nurseries - provides Early Years Foundation Stage education for children from birth to five years and prepares children for primary school through fun educational activities tailored around their individual likes and interests, with a strong focus on learning through play.
