East 17 to Headline New Colne Cricket Club Music Festival
A major new music festival is set to arrive in Colne this autumn, with legendary 90s pop group East 17 confirmed as the headline act for the first-ever Colne Cricket Club Music Festival.
The event will take place at Colne Cricket Club on Saturday, September 19th, running from 12pm until 8pm, and promises a full day of live entertainment, family activities and festival fun.
Headlining the festival are chart favourites East 17, one of the UK’s best-known boybands. The group has sold more than 22 million albums worldwide and achieved 18 Top 20 singles and four Top 10 albums. Fans can look forward to performances of classic hits including House of Love, It’s Alright, Thunder and Christmas number one Stay Another Day.
Organised by Burnley-based promoters Scott Dawson Advertising, the festival is expected to attract music fans from across the region.

Early bird tickets are now on sale until Sunday, May 31st at 11-45pm, offering discounted entry prices ahead of what organisers believe could become one of East Lancashire’s standout events of the year.
The line-up will also feature tribute acts celebrating artists including Robbie Williams, Taylor Swift, Oasis and popular K-pop stars.
Local performers will also take to the stage, with returning favourites Sonus joined by dancers from the Helen Green Academy of Dance and performers from Burnley College Musical Theatre.
Liverpool sister duo Kulturess are also set to appear, bringing their energetic mix of rock, R&B and rap to the festival.
Alongside the live music, visitors can enjoy a fairground, street food vendors, fully stocked bars and a premium VIP experience.
Early bird adult tickets are priced at £20, with family, child and accessible ticket options also available.
Organisers have also released 100 exclusive VIP tickets, which include access to a private viewing platform, dedicated bar, welcome drinks, canapés and a meet-and-greet with East 17.
Scott Earing, treasurer at Colne Cricket Club, said: “We’re incredibly proud to be bringing such a fantastic new event to Colne Cricket Club. The line-up is absolutely brilliant and there will be so much going on throughout the day for people of all ages to enjoy.
“We wanted to create something really special for the community and visitors to the area, and we genuinely can’t wait to welcome everyone in September.”
Murray Dawson, managing director of Scott Dawson Advertising, said the company was approached after the success of similar events held in Accrington and Great Harwood.
East 17 member Terry Coldwell added: “We’re really excited to be headlining this brand-new music festival at Colne Cricket Club. It sounds like it’s going to be an amazing day with a brilliant atmosphere and a great mix of live music and entertainment.”
