Burnley indie artist returns with new single following breakout track
This Burnley indie artist is building on the momentum of his breakout single, Duck Duck Goose.
Harri s Rafferty returns with Burnin’, a fiery, full-throttle indie-rock track that captures the restless ambition and self-doubt at the heart of chasing a dream.

Rafferty says his new song blends classic Brit-indie grit with emotional storytelling and is heavily inspired by Wunderhorse.
“This song symbolises ambition and desire, the fire that burns inside. But it also carries that voice in your head asking, ‘Can I actually make this happen? Is this worth it?’
"I think a lot of people feel that mix of hope and uncertainty, and that’s what makes the song resonate.”
Unlike his previous work, Burnin’ came alive directly in the studio. Arriving with only lyrics and chords, Harris and his guitarist built the track piece by piece, shaping the sound organically.
“It was a totally different approach for me, letting go of the plan and building the instrumentation around the emotion rather than the other way around. It helped the song mature into exactly what I pictured in my head.
“This song holds so much of my personality and emotion. It feels like a massive stepping stone in how I want my sound to mature, and I’m genuinely excited for people to hear it.”
Harris says Burnin’ lands at a time when many people are questioning the value of their effort.
“A lot of people don’t feel rewarded for working hard right now, and you can feel that in the air. I’m not claiming to have any righteous message, but I hope this track stands as proof that your goals and dreams matter. Chase them."
