With just 10 seconds left Zack Leigh snapped the ball to Callum Doherty, who released a Hail Mary pass, the length of the field into the safe hands of Andy Hawkes to give the Tornados a heart stopping victory at 27-24.

It was a better first half performance by the Tornados in their second game, as they took a 19-6 lead into the break against the Presidents.

The second half was no let up either with Josh Bonnick getting on the score sheet and Griffith making up the rest of the touchdowns. There were tackles galore from Max Mallelieu-Black, ably assisted by Charlie Forster and Anthony Tither, ensuring the Presidents would not make another score. The final score was 45-6.

A tough decision for MVPs was made by the coaches with Callum given a special mention for his magnificent pass in the first game.

The game day MVPs though were Andy Hawkes, Flynn Griffith and Max Mallelieu-Black.
