Burnley batter Garstang


First to go over the white wash was second row Jack Donovan when, after numerous team drives, he powered over between the sticks. James Redford then obliged when converting.
With the resulting kick failing to travel the required distance, Burnley took the scrum where a passage of incisive interplay between Redford and Rob Lawless saw the latter finish the move off. Again, Redford took care of the extras.

The hosts went in to the interval with a 26-point advantage and a bonus point already achieved.
Three changes at the break saw Matt Calvert, Danny Rowland and Felipo Alefosio introduced and the trio added to the scoreline.
Burnley clocked up 68 points in the second period which included an exceptional solo run from Ben Healy with the hooker carrying the ball from the halfway line.

Hide AdFerrier secured his hat-trick, as did Lawless, while Alex Woodcock and Alefosio bagged braces. Danny Rowland got one and Redford added to all his good kicking with a try to make the final score 94-0.
After the first round of fixtures Burnley sit second in the league.
