James Anderson climbs ICC Test bowling rankings after performance against Pakistan

England bowlers Stuart Broad and James Anderson have advanced in the ICC Test player rankings following impressive performances against Pakistan.

Broad has moved up one place to second position in the bowlers' list after a haul of four for 56 during the drawn second Test in Southampton.

Anderson, who like Broad has previously topped the rankings, has moved up two slots to 14th following figures of three for 60 at the Ageas Bowl, where Pakistan were dismissed for 236 in their only innings of the match.

In the batsmen's rankings, England's Zak Crawley has moved to a career-best 81st place after a score of 53 against Pakistan, while all-rounder Ben Stokes and captain Joe Root retained seventh and ninth positions respectively.

England remain third in the ICC World Test Championship table on 279 points, behind leaders India (360 points) and second-placed Australia (296).
