Towneley Hall closes for maintenance work

It will re-open on Saturday, February 1st, after a new natural history gallery and exhibition gallery have been installed.

The work is being paid for with Arts Council funding as part of the Pennine Lancashire Museum partnership.

Coun. John Harbour, Burnley Council’s Executive member for leisure and culture, said: “The New Year is going to see some great changes made to Towneley Hall, and despite opening later in the year than usual, we’re sure that visitors new and old will love what we’re doing to improve the visitor experience.”
