Hameldon pair make charity effort

TWO of Hameldon Community College’s Prince’s Trust students Cheyenne Poulton and Corey Webster took part in a seasonal sponsored run in aid of a charity close to their hearts.

The charity they chose was Macmillan Cancer Support, because their own research showed that one in three people get cancer, and it is the toughest battle many will face.

They decided to do a 30 minute sponsored circuit run in the college’s sports hall.

Their good friends Jake Dobson and Jake Gregory Lane agreed to help their friends raise money by running too.

Fellow students and staff sponsored them and so far they have raised £55, and there is more to be collected.

Cheyenne said: “I would like to thank everybody who sponsored us.”

Corey added: “I would like to thank Catelen Gabriele who supplied uplifting music to keep us going.”
