The side also reached the final of the league cup over the season, and have proved themselves to be a talented group of young cricketers who can all bat, bowl and field.

However, what has stood them apart from the crowd has been the level of consistency, a willingness to learn, coupled with a fantastic team spirit, and all that while playing the game with smiles on their faces.

Special thanks to Derek Carter for his dedication to scoring for the team and his wise words of encouragement.

Meanwhile, Burnley host their second Real Ale Festival Weekend from 5 p.m. next Friday, September 29th, until Monday, October 2nd, featuring a wide collection of ales from popular brewers, with all welcome.

There will be a former players’ reunion and capped players’ evening, also on Friday, September 29th, from 7 p.m. until late.
