Young Burnley keeper Nizic earns Australian call-up

Young Clarets goalkeeper Daniel Nizic has been given a debut call-up to the Australian U20 squad.

The 18-year-old has previously linked-up with the Young Socceroos at a training camp in London in September.

And after impressing coach Paul Okon, Nizic has now earned a first call-up to the U20 national team for the upcoming AFC U19 Championship Qualifiers tournament in Kuala Lumpur in October; the first stage of the Asian Football Confederation’s qualifying for the 2015 FIFA U20 World Cup.

Former Sydney FC stopper Nizic, who formally joined the Clarets on a two-year deal this summer, will take part in the three-game tournament against Hong Kong on Thursday, October 3, Chinese Taipei on the 5th and Vietnam on the 7th.
