Vintage Clarets back in action

The game, which will kick-off at 2 p.m., is being played in memory of long-standing local sportsman and Burnley supporter Tony Nuttall, who sadly passed away in June 2013 at the age of 54 after a long battle against cancer. All proceeds will go to Macmillan Cancer Support.

There is no news as yet on which players from the Vintage Clarets will be taking part, but the squad were in action late last month against Haslingden St.Mary’s.

The squad is: Craig Mawson, Nigel Smith, Chris Scott, Gerry Harrison, Phil Eastwood, Paul Atkinson, Andy Farrell, Jamie Hoyland, John Deary , David Hamilton, Junior Bent, George Oghani, Peter Mumby, Graham Lancashire, Liam Robinson, Roger Eli, David Eyres, Andy Cooke, Vince Overson, Paul Weller, Frank Sinclair and Ade Akinbiyi.
