Scott Arfield pens new Turf contract
The 26-year-old winger, who had two years remaining on his previous deal, made 40 appearances for the Clarets in the 2014/15 Barclays Premier League campaign, scoring two goals.
Arfield’s new contract comes just days after he netted the winner against Rangers on his return to Scotland, and the Scot says extending his stay at Turf Moor was a ‘no-brainer’.

“Tom Heaton and I were in the same situation in terms of wanting to pledge our future to get this club back into the top flight and we’ve got a great platform to do so.”
The former Huddersfield Town man joined the Clarets in 2013 on a free transfer, and says the club’s progress in that time has been a whirlwind journey on a personal level.
Arfield added: “It’s been a fantastic journey so far for me personally coming here and experiencing the promotion season, then the fans getting to see us in the Premier League.

“Burnley is where you want to play football. The fans get right behind you and it’s a fantastic dressing room to be in - it was a no-brainer for me to extend my stay here.”
