More than 50,000 posts were researched and analysed on Twitter, conducted over a two-week period to July 7th, using club-specific hashtags to determine which fanbase used the most colourful language.
A spokesman at Paddy Power said: “Now the Premier League is back, it’s been a good opportunity to take a seat on our socially-distanced sofas and become the ultimate armchair fan. And by doing that, it seems it’s been a sweary time for football fans, too.
“Top of the profanity Pops is relegation-threatened Watford, and it’s hardly a surprise that Jose Mourinho is causing Spurs fans to dish out expletives – we can only imagine what their blood pressure scores must look like.”

9. Norwich City
You'd think the profanity rate among the Canaries would be higher given their league position throughout the season, but Paddy Power revealed that only 5.3% of tweets contained colourful text.

10. AFC Bournemouth
They must be very mild-mannered on the South Coast. Despite staring relegation in the face, Cherries fans have kept their social media posts clean with 5.1% of tweets containing foul language.

11. West Ham United
There has been unrest with the current ownership and the Hammers have been struggling in the league, but supporters have remained relatively cool, calm and collected on social media with 4.6% of all tweets containing a swear word.

12. Brighton and Hove Albion
Seagulls supporters haven't had too much to say on social media, nothing too contradictory anyway. Just 3.4% of fans' posts on Twitter have included foul language.
