Pundit highlights unexpected Burnley name to thrive in the Championship next season
Armando Broja is worth “sticking with” in the Championship next season despite his underwhelming debut campaign at Turf Moor.
That’s the view of Sky Sports pundit Alan Smith, who believes that – at 24 – Broja still has plenty to give.
Following his big money move from Chelsea last summer, the striker has netted just one goal for Burnley in the Premier League this season.
But with relegation almost a certainty, Smith is of the opinion the Albanian international could thrive a level down in the Championship.

“I’ve been looking at him for quite a long time now, back to the Chelsea days,” he told BestBettingSites.co.uk. "But when he was at Southampton, I thought: ‘oh, you could become a player’.
"He kind of reminds me a little bit of [Aleksandar] Mitrovic, who did so well at Fulham. But obviously Broja hasn’t scored the goals.

"He’s capable and certainly, if they do drop down, in the Championship you’d feel that he’d be an asset for them.
"He’s only 24, so I’d stick with him for next season.”
