The Clarets have yet to win in 10 attempts this season, including nine Premier League games, ahead of tomorrow’s trip to Arsenal.

Indeed, they are the only side in the country yet to register three points.

But they remain a good way behind the likes of Swindon Town, who won at the 16th attempt in 1993, Everton, who made it lucky 13 in 1994, and QPR who won their 17th game two years ago.

Trippier is refusing to panic, however: “The win will come if we keep performing like we did on Sunday and against West Ham, but when we’re on top in games we need to take our chances.

“Against Everton and against West Ham, last week they didn’t do anything first half and second half they had two shots and had scored two goals, so we need to be more clinical in front of goal, but overall we take the positives from the game.

“It’s going to come, we’ve got to keep believing, which we do as a group, we’ve got a good squad and the belief is massive and hopefully that can take us through to get the win.”
