BURNLEY are knocked out of the Capital One cup at League One Swindon town.

Charlie Austin had a chance to silence the boo boys and give the Clarets an early lead with a stinging drive from inside the box that had Foderingham rooted to the spot.

The former Swindon striker could also have netted when his head met Ross Wallace's corner but Gary Roberts was the man on the line to clear for the Robins.

Swindon took the lead just before the twenty minute mark after McEveley's cross was swept past Jensen by Paul Benson, the first effort on goal for Swindon.

The lead was doubled just before half time after Ross Wallace failed to meet a poor David Edgar pass gifting Tommy Miller the opportunity to intercept and feed the ball into the path of Andy Williams who fired beyond Jensen.

Charlie Austin reduced the defecit after Vokes fed the striker who nonchalantly rounds Foderingham before slotting home against his former employers.

Any hopes of a comeback were dashed though, when Archibald-Henville headed home McEveley's free-kick at the back post, to seal entry to the fourth round for Swindon.
