Padiham hope to beat the weather at Ashton
Steve Wilkes’ side are scheduled to travel to Ashton Athletic tonight in the North West Counties Football League, kick-off 7-45 p.m.
Padiham Reserves, on the other hand, took the opportunity of an invitation by Morecambe Football Club to play a friendly against their Development Squad.

Hide AdA remarkable game ended with the Storks drawing 5-5 with the Shrimps, as Padiham’s Nathan Egan scored four goals.
Padiham trailed 1-0 on seven minutes, but drew level through Egan on 13 minutes.
However, Morecambe hit back to lead 3-1 at the break.
Morecambe went further ahead on 70 minutes, before a remarkable Padiham fight back.
Egan scored three further goals in the space of 10 minutes, between the 72nd and 82nd minutes, to level the scores at 4-4.

Hide AdThen Brad Knox put the Storks 5-4 ahead on 87 minutes, before the hosts concluded the scoring in the last minute to make it 5-5 at the final whistle.
Meanwhile, Padiham FC Under 18s suffered a disappointing 3-1 away defeat at Myerscough College in the Lancashire Football Association Floodlit League on Thursday night.
In torrential rain, the young Storks took a 25th minute lead through Bobby Carter.
The home side hit back to score twice themselves before half-time, and Myerscough secured the win with a third goal 10 minutes from time.
