Newcastle United v Burnley RATINGS

Burnley dropped to 19th in the Premier League after losing for the third time on the bounce.

Newcastle United added to Sean Dyche's misery after putting three past an alarmingly below-par Burnley at St James' Park.

The Magpies took the lead when Allan Saint-Maximin beat Nick Pope from the edge of the penalty area in the 14th minute.

Ashley Westwood drew the Clarets level with a wonderful volley from Phil Bardsley's cross on the hour, but the home side regained their lead four minutes later.

Saint-Maximin left Charlie Taylor for dead on the right hand side and put the ball on a plate for Callum Wilson to side-foot home.

A calamitous error from Pope, when applying a heavy touch to James Tarkowski's back pass, then led to United's third as the England international brought substitute Ryan Fraser down in the box.

Wilson took responsibility from 12 yards out, chipping the ball down the middle, to send Steve Bruce's side up to sixth.
