Nathan Delfouneso returns to Aston Villa
Nathan Delfouneso has ended his loan spell at Turf Moor and returned to Aston Villa.
The England under-21 international has been allowed to rejoin the Premier League club early after Burnley’s play-off hopes ended with defeat at Leeds United last weekend.
Delfouneso linked up with the Clarets in March and scored the winner on his debut at Hull City within hours of completing his loan deal.
However, that proved to be the striker’s only goal in 11 appearances for the club.
Boss Eddie Howe said: “Burnley Football Club would like to thank Nathan for all his efforts during his time with us and we wish him well on his return to Villa Park.”
