Substitute Robbie Brady scored late on when netting his first goal in more than two years for the Clarets, but it was merely a consolation. Here's how we rated Burnley's individual; performances. Do you agree with our marks?
5. Ben Mee 6
The Burnley skipper has that nack of being in the right place at the right time, diverting the danger whenever City fired low balls in to the box. He also made a number of vital blocks.
6. Aaron Lennon 5
Tracked back well to support Bardsley, but switched off for City's third when Angelino got in behind. Frustrated on the whole when getting in to promising positions to deliver the ball as the Spanish left back came out on top more often than not.
7. Dwight McNeil 6
Whipped in a couple of trademark crosses, but struggled to get on the ball as City completely dominated possession and territory. The winger was replaced by Brady with 15 minutes remaining.
8. Jeff Hendrick 6
Attempted to keep tabs on Rodri, who was influential for City on the night. Moved intelligently to narrow passing streams, but City's midfield was just too slick. Weak in and out of possession at times, though contributed to Brady's consolation goal.
