Sean Dyche 'likely' to get new contract at Burnley as Liverpool and Spurs eye Aston Villa star

Since taking charge at Turf Moor in 2012, the 49-year-old has taken the club from the Championship to as far as a European campaign as his side continue to hold their own in the Premier League.

During that time, Dyche has also been linked with other managerial roles, the most frequent being Crystal Palace.

It has been suggested for a while now that Dyche could be approached to succeed Roy Hodgson at Selhurst Park when he departs, which could be this summer when his contract expires.

But over the weekend, a new name was installed as a potential replacement to Hodgson – Swansea City boss Steve Cooper.

The former England under-17s coach has worked wonders at the Liberty Stadium and looks on course to guide the club back to the top-flight.

According to The Sun, Cooper is now under consideration by the Palace hierarchy but the same report provides an interesting line on Dyche.

It states “Dyche has been linked with a switch south to Selhurst Park but he is likely to get a new contract at Burnley. ”

This is of course promising news for Clarets fans as they hope for a bright future under their owners.
