The midfielder's pressure and persistence ensured Spurs didn't get the opportunity to get the ball down and play in the first half. And he got behind the ball well to defend on the edge of his own box in the second to prevent the visitors from snatching a winner.

Ran himself into the ground in a bid to pull the away side's central back three out of position. Saw a first half header cleared off the line, but he'll be awarded with the assist for Wood's opening goal as Lloris spilled his effort.

Marked his return from injury with a goal and worked tirelessly for 90-plus minutes. Chased down every ball that was played into the Spurs half, got his body in-between the ball and his marker continuously and went close to finding a winner more than once.

Can consider himself rather unfortunate to be back on the bench, but looked to make a difference as soon as he was introduced. Denied by a last ditch challenge from Dier before Lloris kept another attempt out at his near post.
