PLAYER RATINGS: Burnley 1 Norwich City 2
Former Blackburn Rovers defender Grant Hanley scored his first goal in more than a year when heading past Joe Hart to give the Canaries the lead. Josip Drmic then doubled the advantage from close range after Hart had denied Lukas Rupp. Dutch full back Erik Pieters added to his tally in the competition when beating Ralf Fahrmann at his near post, but the hosts couldn't find the equaliser to force a replay.

5. Ashley Westwood 6
Ran himself ragged and was pressing the ball right up until the last kick of the tie. Always showing for the ball and set-pieces were generally on the money with Tarkowski twice threatening from corners.

6. Jay Rodriguez 6
A frustrating afternoon for the striker, just days after producing the goods at Old Trafford. Should have given the Clarets the lead in the first half from Wood's pass, but he fired too close to Fahrmann.

7. Matej Vydra 5
The substitute got involved in as much as he could after replacing Wood in the 65th minute, but never really found that defining moment with a pass or run. Generally kept quiet by Norwich's rearguard.

8. Dwight McNeil 5
The winger was introduced late on as Sean Dyche's side pushed for an equaliser to force the replay. He put the Norwich City defender under pressure with a number of inviting deliveries from the left.
