

Burnley miss out on Championship youngster, Chelsea and Tottenham offered chance to sign European star
Cardiff City youngster Kieron Evans has signed a new contract with the Championship club – which could come as a blow to Burnley
As per Wales Online, Burnley, along with West Brom, Sheffield United and Newcastle United, were monitoring the 19-year-old attacking midfielder, however Evans has put pen to paper on a new two-year deal at the Welsh side.
He said: "I feel amazing. I've been at the club since I was 10. Signing my second pro contract here is a great feeling. It was a no-brainer for me. I want to prove that I can make it at this club.
"I've learned a lot in the last 12 months with the under-23s and the first team and I can't wait to see what the future holds."
Meanwhile, Nick Pope is expected to be selected for Gareth Southgate’s England squad today.
With regular number one Jordan Pickford out injured, the 28-year-old is set to battle Dean Henderson for the jersey ahead of the World Cup qualifiers against San Marino, Albania and Poland.
