Hull City 0, Burnley FC 1 - MATCH ACTION PHOTOS

BURNLEY FC loan signing Nathan Delfouneso made a dream debut for the Clarets last night, scoring the match’s single goal to take his team to victory over Hull City and boost their Championship play-off hopes.

The 20-year-old, who this week signed on loan from Premier League side Aston Villa, poked in from two yards oout after Jay Rodriguez’s low drive was blocked.

And the Clarets had other chances on gaol, too. Dean Marney went close when his shot shaved the post and Ross Wallace had a shot on target saved by the keeper.

At the other enbd of the pitch, Burnley’s Michael Duff made a goal-line clearance to deny Matty Fryatt. Aaron Mclean was close with a header and Corry Evans volleyed wide. Clarets’ keeper Lee Grant made excellent saves to prevent goals from Andy Dawson and Evans.
