FULL-TIME: Brighton 0, Burnley 1

BURNLEY take all three points in a crazy game at the AMEX Stadium.

After just twelve minutes of play, Brighton were reduced to nine men after Romain Vincelot and Ashley Barnes received their marching orders.

Vincelot was the first to walk down the tunnel, just five minutes into the game after appearing to strike Clarets midfielder Marvin Bartley in an off the ball incident.

Just seven minutes later, Vincelot was joined in the changing room by Ashley Barnes after Brighton striker stamped on Burnley captain Chris McCann, McCann can count himself lucky not to receive at least a yellow card himself after appearing to retaliate.

Once the madness had started to settle down, Kieran Trippier netted his first league goal for the Clarets, after finding himself free he hit a 25 yard strike past former Leeds keeper Ankergren.

Brighton can consider themselves unlucky not to have come away with at least a point after a spirited second half performance, which saw Craig Mackail-Smith miss three good chances, the last effort being cleared off the line by David Edgar in the dying seconds of the game.
