Early Burnley promotion odds as 2026/27 Championship line up revealed
Burnley have been installed as third favourites to win the 2026/27 Championship.
The Clarets find themselves back in the Championship next season following a miserable campaign in the Premier League.
Burnley won just four games as they suffered a third straight relegation from the top flight, with just 22 points to their name – an all-time club low in the three-point era.
But recent history suggests they will be right amongst it for an instant promotion, having finished on 101 and 100 points in consecutive Championship campaigns.
They will be joined in the second tier by West Ham and Wolves in what looks to be an increasingly competitive Championship.
Plenty of others are likely to be in the mix though, with beaten play-off finalists Middlesbrough among those backed to do well again, alongside big-spending Wrexham and Birmingham City.

It’s no great surprise that West Ham have been installed as the early favourites with the bookies, following their final day relegation.
Despite finishing bottom, Wolves have shorter odds than Burnley, who sit third in the list at 15/2.
Birmingham, Boro, Wrexham, Sheffield United and Southampton are all expected to do well.
At the other end of the spectrum, League One title winners Lincoln City have it all to do to secure safety, while Charlton Athletic, Preston North End, Bolton Wanderers and Cardiff City are also backed to struggle.
