Duff - Leeds is a good place to start

After experiencing full houses at vast Premier League stadiums, Sean Dyche’s men begin life after relegation at the biggest ground outside the top flight, with a capacity of 37,914.

The home fans will be full of optimism under new manager Uwe Rosler, having had three different men in charge in a chaotic season last term.

But Duff is eagerly anticipating the trip across the M62 for a Roses derby: “I think it’s a good place to start. It’s a great place to go and play football, it’s a proper football stadium, there’ll be 30-odd thousand there.

“I’m looking forward to it now. The run-in’s done, the work starts now.”

The Championship is a different beast altogether to the Premier League, but that won’t come as a shock to Duff, who is entering his 10th season at this level since joining the club from Cheltenham Town in the summer of 2004: “You’re going to come up against many different teams playing many different ways.

“That’s the beauty of the Championship, there is no one formula that gets you out of the league.

“You can be as expansive as you want, or you can be hard to beat, tuck it in and just launch it down the pitch.

“We’re going to have to deal with everything that we come across, and we’re going to have to find many different ways.”
