Clarets boss Sean Dyche is pleased to see him further his international experience, and believes he won’t have to wait long for his first Premier League goal: “I didn’t doubt it, he’s a fine young player and he’ll certainly be learning from the experiences he’s gained so far.

“He’s been really alive for us, but strikers want goals. We’ve created chances and you want one to go in, because if one does, it opens up the forward thinking.

“We want the strikers to start scoring, but he’s been sharp.

“I’m not over-thinking our performances so far, they’ve been decent, but we’re at a level where doing okay isn’t good enough.

“We want to do fantastic, that’s our challenge.”
