Crystal Palace star a major doubt for Burnley after being spotted on crutches
A Crystal Palace star is a major doubt for their midweek trip to Burnley after being spotted limping away from Selhurst Park on cruthces.
Ismaila Sarr was forced to be withdrawn in the 38th minute on Sunday as Oliver Glasner’s side threw away a first-half lead to lose 2-1 to Manchester United.
The wide man, one of Palace’s main dangermen, was involved in a heavy challenge with United’s Diogo Dalot and was subsequently replaced by Eddie Nketiah.
After the game, Sarr was spotted on crutches while also wearing a protective boot.
When asked about the injury after the game, Eagles boss Glasner suggested it’s unlikely he will play again for a while.

“We all have to assess him further but the ankle is quite swollen, so I think he will miss a few games,” Glasner said.

“Maybe we won’t see him again before the AFCON.”
If he does miss out, he’ll join a lengthy injury list at Palace – Rio Cardines, Cheick Doucoure, Caleb Kporha and Chadi Riad are all sidelined, while Borna Sosa is a fitness doubt.
Palace have now lost back-to-back games in all competitions, having also been beaten 2-1 by Strasbourg in the UEFA Conference League last week.
