Clarets sign Development Squad striker

Burnley have beaten a number of clubs to the signature of AFC Wimbledon striker Daniel Agyei.

The 18-year-old has been on trial at the club, featuring for the Development Squad, and has joined on a long-term contract, subject to medical and personal terms.

Agyei scored 35 times for the Dons’ Under 18 and Under 21 sides last season, and played against Burnley in the FA Youth Cup in November.

He had been linked with Chelsea, Crystal Palace, West Ham and Fulham.
