Clarets look to upset the odds

Dean Marney’s cruciate ligament injury will keep him out of the rest of the season, and Sean Dyche will be forced into making at least one change for tonight’s trip to Old Trafford.

Burnley have not won at Old Trafford since September 1962 and are 12/1 at BetVictor to cause a shock, but Louis van Gaal’s side looked ordinary against West Ham at the Boleyn Ground on Sunday when they were fortunate to come away with a point.

United are 2/7 to keep all three points and they have conceded only one goal in their last seven games against the Clarets in all competitions. United have ridden their luck this season at home and Robin van Persie (4/1 first goalscorer) and Radamel Falcao (5/1) look pale imitations of their former selves.

We have been asked in the build up to the game for a price for Burnley to not win another game this season and it has to be said they do have a difficult looking set of fixtures; another two points dropped against the Baggies from a winning position does sum up their season so far; excellent in places but unable to get over the line.

Danny Ings is 11/1 to score the opening goal and 125/1 at BetVictor to score the only goal of the game. This is not a great United side and you wonder if they are playing square pegs in round holes.

Wayne Rooney has played 450 minutes in the PL in 2015 and not yet had a shot on target! Let’s hope that run continues!

Burnley to either win or draw at 13/5 would be a great result for the Clarets who are out to 15/8 to be playing PL football next term.
