Defender Ben Mee is eager for manager Sean Dyche to stay at Burnley - whether the club survive in the Premier League or not.

Dyche has won a lot of plaudits for the way his side have stayed in contention for survival, and the way he has handled himself and represented the club.

Burnley sit bottom of the table with four games remaining, but Dyche’s reputation has been enhanced, and he has already had to fend off speculation linking him with a summer switch to Derby County.

Ahead of the game at West Ham today, Mee, asked whether he would want Dyche to remain at the helm, admitted: “Yeah, definitely with what he has achieved here.

“He has brought a lot of lads’ games on in his time here so obviously we definitely want to keep hold of him.”

Mee knows it will be a tough task to climb out of the mire - although Hull and Leicester have provided inspiration with their recent spurts of form: “We have seen what Leicester have done - four on the bounce, they have done and it’s a great achievement for them to be honest and we are looking to emulate that, get 4 on the bounce.

“We win at West Ham and everyone else drops points and we are right back in it with three games to go so you never know what’s going to happen - it can all change around quickly in a week or two.”
