Clarets defender joins Barnsley on loan
Clarets defender Kevin Long has joined Barnsley on a one-month loan.
The 25-year-old returned to Sean Dyche's first team squad at Wolves a fortnight ago, taking his place on the bench after recovering from a cruciate knee ligament injury suffered after making his Premier League debut at Newcastle on New Year's Day.
The Irishman has gone out on loan to Barnsley to step up his match fitness, having enjoyed similar loan spells earlier in his Burnley career at Accrington Stanley, Rochdale and Portsmouth.
Long has made 27 appearances for Burnley, scoring once.
