Clarets cruise past Crewe


Nathan Lowe, Cameron Howieson and Danny Lafferty completed the rout for the Clarets in a fixture which saw Sam Vokes get another 90 minutes under his belt.
Kightly gave the Clarets the lead in the seventh minute when slotting in to the bottom corner from the edge of the box.

Hide AdSteven Hewitt provided the hosts with the chance to equalise from the spot, but Matt Gilks matched Tom Heaton’s heroics by saving the resulting penalty.
After the Railwaymen got back on level terms through Marcus Haber’s header, the Clarets restored the lead courtesy of Sordell.
Kightly went on to score his second and third of the game before the break, while Sordell did the same before the midway point in the second half.
Substitute Lowe netted with a spectacular 25-yard strike , Lafferty also got in on the act and Howieson ended the scoring in the 79th minute.
