Call for new footballers

Six-a-side football teams are wanted for Football Evolution’s leagues in the area:

Leagues are held at Burnley College, Hameldon and Bacup on Thursday nights, and are suitable for all standards.

Casual or corporate teams are welcome, with kick-offs to suit, referees and match balls provided and all the leagues tables updated the next day on the website.

l Readstone United Junior Football Club are looking for additional outfield players for next season for their Under 11s team (school year 6 from September).

The club plays in the East Lancs Alliance Football League with matches on Sundays and training sessions midweek.

The team finished runners-up in the league cup and were winners of the league last season.
