Burnley striker Vokes called up to Wales squad
Clarets striker Sam Vokes has been named in the Wales squad for next month’s friendly international against Iceland in Cardiff.
Vokes has 18 goals for Burnley so far this season, and joins Simon Church, Jermaine Easter and Hal Robson-Kanu as Chris Coleman’s striking options, along with Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale, who netted his 12th goal of the season at the weekend against Elche.
Vokes has 30 caps for his country, scoring five goals.
The game is played on Wednesday, March 5th.
