Burnley striker MacDonald extends Plymouth stay

CLARETS’ forward Alex MacDonald is to stay at Plymouth Argyle for the rest of the season.

MacDonald has agreed terms to extend his loan deal at Home Park to help the Pilgrims’ fight to stay in the Football League until the end of the campaign.

The 21-year-old joined Argyle at the end of January and has scored three times in seven appearances for Carl Fletcher’s side.

His latest appearance came on Tuesday night when he turned in an impressive performance to help Plymouth win 2-1 at AFC Wimbledon to climb out of the League Two drop-zone.
